Lord Starscream stole Bob The Builder’s equipment.
Considering how evil this incarnation of Lord Starscream is, I wouldn’t put it past him. Seriously, watch the show. Lord Starscream is messed up in the Cyberverse universe.
We looked at the Spark Armor Shockwave and Cheetor quite awhile back. They were fun so I hope they didn’t mess up Lord Starscream!
Demolition Destroyer

The Demolition Destroyer… looks way too cute to have that hardcore of a name. There’s not much detail and barely any paint but for some reason I just can’t help but like looking at this little yellow bulldozer. Also, I’m very happy that it has pretty much no kibble whatsoever.
There’s a bit of playability here because you can move the Demolition Destroyer’s scoop up and down. Unfortunately, you can’t roll it around since it doesn’t have any wheels.
Vehicle mode

Lord Starscream’s jet mode is… less than impressive if we’re being honest. He’s pretty similar to the Authentics Bravo Lord Starscream… which means the jet mode was not the focus of the figure. The robot is pretty blatantly just there on the bottom of the jet and there’s robot kibble visible from every angle of the jet mode.
That’s just unfortunate man.
For playability, you can deploy front landing gear while there are two permanently down. There are also a bunch of weapon ports underneath the wings that you can arm up.
Transformation
The transformation between all of Lord Starscream’s modes is simple, quick and easy. Despite the jet mode looking similar to the Authentics one, the transformation here is actually really different to it. Among other differences the big twist is the transformation requires… twisting Lord Starscream’s waist.
I’ll see myself out.
Lord Starscream
Robot mode

Things are much, much better in robot mode because Lord Starscream is functionally and aesthetically one of the best to come out of Cyberverse. Even though he’s less than half the size of the original Warrior release of Lord Starscream, the Battle Class one actually looks noticeably better.
While the molded details and proportions are great for this scale of figure… I wish there were more paint apps. He has enough to not look plain but his arms and legs legitimately have no paint at all.
Like Shockwave, Lord Starscream has noticeably more posability than most of the larger Cyberverse figures despite being Legends/Core Class sized. If there was just some movement in the head it would be almost perfect.
- The arms are ball-jointed at the shoulders.
- The elbows bend.
- There’s a waist swivel.
- The legs are ball-jointed at the hips.
- The knees bend.
Super robot mode

You guys remember the Happy Meal version of this guy that was released way back when? It should go without saying but this is so much better than that. This actually feels like an armoured up Super Mode… it gives me Double Dragon vibes honestly.
The Demolition Destroyer breaks into:
- A helmet and chest piece.
- A shield that can be held like a gun.
- Two separate bulldozer treads… which can be mounted to Lord Starscream’s arms like chainsaws.
There’s a ton of play value with the armor and it’s very nice that it doesn’t get in the way of Lord’s Starscream’s posability at all.
Gimmicks
The gimmick here is that Lord Starscream comes with an extra vehicle that breaks up into armor and weapons.
I stand by my opinion but that the Spark Armor line was the best sub-line to come out of Cyberverse and that the Battle Class figures are the best figures to come out of that sub-line.
Toy or collectible?
Toy… and collectible.
On one hand, I think this set’s great for kids because it’s the perfect balance of gimmicky fun and decent posability… but on the other hand this set is pretty rare. That rarity means the set can be a bit expensive. Not prohibitively expensive but it’s not going for pocket change either.
This set is hard to find and costs more than it did when it was first released if you do find it… which means you can get it new for about the same price as Deluxe Class figure now. While that’s still reasonable enough, I wish you could still get it for its old RRP of RM70 (about $15).
Closing
What can I even say at this point? The Spark Armor sub-line was great and Lord Starscream is one of the best things to come out of that line. He has his flaws but…
Lord Starscream has a weaponised scoop and double chainsaws. That’s an immediate 12/10 stars.
