Silverbolt is… Silverbolt.

Silverbolt is a meme in the Transformers community because all of his figures have… a special quirk. His plane mode will always have the most obnoxious underside kibble you’ve ever seen in your entire life. Does Universe 2.0 Silverbolt, which came out in 2008, break this streak?

No.

But that doesn’t mean he’s not worth taking a look at! Just a quick look… because I’m missing his gun.

Robot mode

Silverbolt looks so retro and dignified in robot mode… even with his massive backpack. He’s basically carrying his entire plane mode that’s been split in half as a backpack. It’s noticeable and massive but Silverbolt’s backpack doesn’t actually stick out that far in robot mode.

I was actually very surprised by how much posability Silverbolt has. He’s got everything important except a waist swivel and some ankle pivots.

Vehicle mode

It’s an incredible looking jet mode… until look at Silverbolt from below. That is literally just a dude folded up, being carried by a jet.

There’s a lot of playability in Silverbolt’s jet mode. He’s got deployable three-point landing gear along with a bunch of light and sound action.

Closing

I actually really like Universe 2.0 Silverbolt which is surprising because I thought he was going to be a meme of a figure. He is but he’s a lot of fun despite that… he’s also a lot of fun because he’s a meme.

Silverbolt is actually supposed to have a pretty cool looking missile launcher which U might bother hunting it down. It’s a bit odd that such a big guy like Silverbolt here doesn’t have a weapon.
