ANOTHER TINY BOBBLEHEAD!
After Doflamingo, I got Boa Hancock! Since I still haven’t read or watched One Piece, I have no idea who she is! But I have a crippling claw machine addiction and here she is.
I won her in a claw machine and now she’s here. Might as well give her a review.

Figure

I really don’t wanna make that comparison… but Boa and Doflamingo really do feel like Funko Pops that have more life in them. The addition of a mouth really makes these Panson Works figures look more expressive. Makes sense, since…
You know, mouths are for expressing yourself.
Back to Boa!
Like Doflamingo, Boa looks really good for a figure this size and this age. Unfortunately, unlike Doflamingo, Boa has some pretty badly applied paint. Her mouth is the biggest offender but there are other minor blemishes on the figure aside from that. That’s a shame because all the details and colours look really good apart from the QC issues.
On to posability! There is none!
Toy or collectible?
Collectible.
Boa is a decade old, limited release blind box figure. While she’s pretty simple, she’s still rare enough that she’s pricy and would be kind of a waste to give to a kid as a toy.
One of these sealed blind boxes goes for about RM50 ($13) which isn’t too steep but is still pretty far from cheap for what you’re getting. It’s a nice oddity for One Piece fans though.
Closing
Boa is a pretty nice collectible but her QC issues do make me feel a bit miffed. Happy to have her though and so will any actual One Piece fans!
