Small and buff boi.
Sometimes, you’re just unlucky. I got a good deal on a bunch of Prime Cyberverse figures the other day but exactly one thing got lost in the post. That one thing was the sword that came with Beast Hunter Optimus here.
Well, Optimus is here and slightly incomplete. It’s review time!
Robot mode

Optimus looks different than usual. He looks like he’s eaten nothing but beef, eggs and steroids for at least a thousand years. It’s a good look.
Paint and molded detail here is nicely done. Something about the molded detail feels “sharp”. It gives off that “sharp” feeling.
Optimus is plenty posable for his size. He’s only really missing side to side head movement and thigh swivels.
Vehicle mode

Optimus turns into a monster truck with a cage on it’s back. It’s a great vehicle mode for Optimus and it’s well realised by this figure. Everything fits together nicely and there’s no annoying kibble.
For playability, Optimus can roll on all six of his massive monster truck tyres. You can also peg some 3mm weapons on him to arm him up.
Closing
Yeah, Optimus here might be one of the best Cyberverse Commander figures out there. He’s got a powerful looking robot mode and a surprisingly well done vehicle mode. Based on looks, I think he looks better than the Voyager sized version of this design.
I’m definitely gonna get a complete version of him at some point. Beast Hunter Optimus needs his sword.
