Off-world off-roading.

The Siege line has been getting nothing but praise since its first wave was released and will probably go down as one of the best received Transformers toylines ever released. Unfortunately, they’re expensive. So I never got any of them when they first came out.

Well now I’ve got my hands on a few and one of them is Hound! Unfortunately, he’s missing all of his accessories.

Robot mode

Hound is looking like he put on a few pounds and become a chunky boi. He’s not fat like he was in AOE or TLK though, he looks like he put on some muscle. Hound is strong and thicc.

He’s also insanely detailed and well painted for a mainline Deluxe. The battle damage paint on all the Siege figures has been pretty divisive but here it looks appropriate and glorious on Hound.

The articulation on Hound is also absolutely nuts and he’s legit got everything except an ab crunch. Everything except an ab crunch. Remember that this is a mainline, retail Transformer and realise how amazing that is.

Vehicle mode

Hound is a Cybertronian jeep but honestly this looks like something that could exist in real life, at this very moment. It looks like a heavy duty combination of a tank and a jeep. Like the robot mode, the jeep is also highly detailed and nicely painted.

All four of the massive wheels roll really well and have a ton of ground clearance.

Closing

Hound is a great Transformer. Pretty much nobody raves about him but that’s not because Hound is bad, it’s because the rest of the Siege line is amazing. Hound would have been a standout figure in any other line.

Go get yourself a Hound now! Especially since he’s on discount pretty much everywhere!
