Soundwave goes green.

Looking at all those snap-together Kids Logic KO kits got me thinking about the KOs that I had when I was a kid. So I went and dug some out. Let’s take a look at Cybertron Soundwave first!

When I was a kid, snap-together KOs of Legends Transformers and Mini-Cons were everywhere. There were apparently some snap-together Deluxe Transformer kits as well but I never got them. Anyway, as far as I remember I got Cybertron Soundwave and Megatron were the first of the snap-together KOs that I got.

They were a great first impression! Apart from the obvious problem that was the lack of colour, these guys were awesome! Soundwave here isn’t simplified at all and is made of decent quality plastic, on par with those Taikongzhans KOs that you see everywhere.

Then again, Soundwave probably doesn’t need to be simplified at all because he’s very basic to begin with. While his robot mode looks good his alt mode is just him doing yoga. It still pulls off the jet mode okay, I guess.

I should hunt down more of these guys. I wonder why they don’t sell snap-together kits anymore.
