How does he combine?

When I got this guy more than a decade ago I was confused. Where was his trailer? Where’s his super mode head? How does he turn into his super mode?

It took me awhile to figure out there were two Armada Optimus molds. The bigger, combining one and the smaller, bendy one. This is a KO of the smaller bendy one.

As you can see, he’s a sturdy KO. He’s still in one piece after more than a decade of hard play. I got him, what? A year or two before I got the bigger one.

He’s retained all the posability of the original. The only simplifications he’s suffered from are the removal of his Mini-Con punch action and his chest piece now transforming via partsforming. He did come with his Mini-Con/Targetmaster but for the life of me, I can’t find him.

I wish they’d make more Unicron Trilogy KOs. All the more popular figures are rare and ridiculously expensive now.
