Knockoff KO Transformers Masterpiece MP10 Convoy (Optimus Prime) Review

FINALLY GOT ONE.

Remember when I said I’d get Magic Square’s Light Of Freedom? Yeah, I lied. I got MP10 instead cause he was cheap. I only paid RM135 ($34) for Optimus because he was missing his trailer and Spike.

Only it turns out, this guy wasn’t official like advertised. He was a high quality KO. At first I was pissed but then I realised this particular KO is worth about RM200 ($50) to RM250 ($63) used or RM300 ($75) new. I still got a good deal in the end, just not as good as I thought I did.

Why does this KO cost so much you ask? Well, because this is the 1:1 size KO with improvements. KO Convoy here apparently has tighter joints compared to the original, his fingers have pinned joints and his axe is bigger. Apparently some people use this guy as their display Optimus and keep their real MP10 MISB.

Honestly, I can understand the hype. If I didn’t notice his fingers had pin joints in them, I would never have questioned if Optimus was legit or not. He’s hefty, feels high quality and all his joints are still tight even though it’s very obvious he’s been roughhoused with. His chrome needs some touching up.

Ah, right. When I say this MP10 KO costs a lot, I mean there are 1:1 KOs of MP10 available with the trailer and everything for RM250 ($63) brand new. This guy never came with a trailer and costs RM300+ ($75+) new. He only comes with his gun and axe.

In a way, I guess I lucked out when I got this guy. He’s apparently pretty scarce nowadays cause people want him pretty badly. They must really like his pinned fingers.
