The original Botbot.
The highlight of the Revenge Of The Fallen film was not Optimus taking on Megatron, Starscream and Grindor by himself.
It wasn’t the Constructicons merging to form Devastator.
And it certainly wasn’t Optimus combining with Jetfire and killing the Fallen.
No, it was when the Dickbot the blender guy came to life and attacked Sam in his kitchen. You read that right. That’s the blender’s official name.
We didn’t get a figure of that guy. We did get Ejector though.
Ejector: The Brave Little Toaster.
Alternate mode

Yes, yes. Ejector is a toaster. Apparently, he’s based on a best selling toaster from Britain. He certainly looks high quality. Ejector’s got lots of nice molded detail and is covered in silver paint. All the little buttons are painted too, which is nice.
Ejector is a toaster so he has no wheels. I mean obviously. But he does have a power plug with a string attached to it that can waggle around. The little details matter people!
Transformation
It’s not too complex but it ain’t simple either. There’s trouble with the arms though. There’s not enough clearance and they like to pop off during the transformation process. Not a big problem but it’s there.
Robot mode

Ejector is a four armed gremlin. Or a troll. Whatever he is, he ugly. And I love him for it. There’s not much shiny silver on show in robot mode anymore. It’s replaced by a dull, dark grey. Usually that’d be a bad thing but I think it makes sense in this case. Something that looks like this shouldn’t have metallic paint.
Now, usually I get really miffed if a Transformer doesn’t have head posability. But for Ejector, I’ll let it slide. Just look at it man. His head is basically his torso. It’s huge, ugly and angry. And I love it.
Ejector can’t move his head from side to side but he can move the upper half of his head up. His main arms have ball joints at the shoulder and hinge as well as ball joints at the elbows. The claws are hinged. His extra arms only have hinge joints at the elbows. His hips are ball-jointed. He has knee bends and rotation below the knees. His toes can move forward and back.
Toy or collectible?
Ejector is an okay Transformer for older kids but he’s a bit complicated to transform. 10 years old or above and the kid can get Ejector!
Adult collectors should definitely hunt down Ejector. He’s a very unique Transformer and it’s very likely we won’t see anything like him for awhile. Yes, Botbots are a thing but they don’t count. Ejector is just strange and ridiculous.
Closing
I don’t know if you can tell but I adore Ejector. He’s a great Transformer with two unique modes. There’s nothing else quite like him and he deserves a shot to be in everyone’s collection because of it.
PS: I didn’t comment on his price because I have not seen him for sale for almost 10 years. I don’t have a good idea how much Ejector is worth.
Personally, I’d max out and pay about RM100 ($25) for him in good condition.
