Transformers Revenge Of The Fallen Legends Devastator Review

Mini Colossus.

Now this is what you’ve been waiting for. After 7 reviews of Legends Transformers of varying degrees of quality we’re here.

For awhile, little Devastator here was my favourite thing to come out of the ROTF toyline. And I loved the ROTF toyline.

Combiner mode

This Devastator absolutely trounces the Supreme Devastator. That guy only needed to turn into the vehicles and the gestalt but he still ended up less accurate than the Legends version.

Sure it’s not completely accurate but it’s better than the Supreme Devastator for a couple of reasons.

1) The head and face look better because they’re not hampered by gimmicks.

2) Devastator looks more “complete” because he has more components.

3) The overall proportions are closer to what you saw on screen. It is closer to the ROTF concept art though.

Devastator has some posability. His head can look up with the hinge joint as well look up and around with the ball joint on his head. He can rotate his arms forward at the shoulders and bend at the elbows. He can rotate his arms below the elbows. He can only rotate his legs at the hips and move his feet down a bit.

Toy or collectible?

Devastator as a whole and as a set is great for both sets of people.
He’s a good first combiner for kids.

He’s a better combiner than the Supreme Devastator.

Closing

You can probably guess what I’m gonna say. All of the individual components flaws can be forgiven because Devastator is so much fun.

You wouldn’t think that a Legends Combiner team would be feasible, much less a Bayverse one. But here we are.

I totally recommend Devastator to every Transformers fan regardless of age.
