Overload is… a mystery.

Like I know nothing about him besides I need him to make Devastator.

Anyway, he’s the lower half of Devastator’s body. He’s the lower back and butt.

Vehicle mode

Overload is supposed to be a massive transport truck. But here, he’s a tiny Legends class truck. He’s got an okay amount of detail and he conceals all of his robot bits well. There’s only some visible bits on the underside.For playability, the trailer/dumping part isn’t articulated. That makes me sad.

His two wheels in the front and the two at the back all roll though, so there’s that.

Body mode

Overload’s the lower back and butt of Devastator. Not much more I can say about that.

Transformation

Overload is easy to transform between all three modes. It’s not as interesting as Rampage but it gets the job done.

Robot mode

Overload has a pretty normal robot mode compared to the other Constructicons (barring Scrapper). He’s not completely normal though. He’s got really short legs, really long and big arms as well as a small head. The proportions give the impression that he’s a titanic robot but sadly he’s really short. Overload has some nice molded detail but paint is non-existent.

Overload has okay posability for a Legends Transformer. His arms are ball-jointed at the shoulders as well as have extra joints that let the arms go in and out at a different point. His legs can only go in and out at the hips. Last, his third arm thing can swivel over his head or behind him.

Toy or collectible?

Overload has a good truck mode and robot mode. I would totally recommend him to anyone who likes Legends figures as a standalone figure.

Also, you need him to complete Legends Devastator. So whether you’re a kid or an adult collector, if you want Devastator, you need Overhaul.

Closing

If you’re taking into account only the robot mode and vehicle mode, I think Overload is worth a look by himself. He’s currently the only figure available with this design.

Once more, if you want Devastator, you need Overload though.
