Knockoff KO Transformers Energon Deluxe Hot Shot Review

Tattoos make you cooler.

So this KO was interesting. I had to choose between this KO of Hot Shot and a straight 1:1 KO of Hot Shot. I chose this guy cause he was RM3 ($1.25) cheaper than the straight KO. I’m glad I did cause this guy is more interesting than the 1:1 KO in a couple of ways.

1) Obvious thing first. He’s got tribal tattoos. And he turns into an Audi or at least something close to it. That makes him a seriously stereotypical early 2000s cool guy.

2) His molded detail looks so soft focus compared to the original. Especially the face.

3) Despite looking worse than the straight KOs, he’s much better quality. His plastic is nice and thick. His joints were also all tight and not floppy as a rubber band when I got him back in 2005/2006. Yes, his right arm is loose now but that’s only after 13 years.
