Otherworldly blueberry.
I never played Fall Of Cybertron. I did play War For Cybertron on the DS though. It was a fun game where everyone got beefy buff new designs. This included the Seekers.
Thundercracker here is the official Hasbro figure based on the WFC/FOC design and was released around the same time FOC was out on consoles. Let’s take a look at this Cybertronian iteration of Thundercracker then.
Vehicle mode

Thundercracker is a Cybertronian jet. It’s the good kind of Cybertronian vehicle modes. You know, the kind that’s not just robot bits sprawled out and called an alien tank/ship/satellite. It’s painted nicely enough but the molded detail is just much more than I expected based on pictures. There was a lot of love put into this mold. It’s not without flaws though. The most glaring being the visible head on the top of the jet. Yes, turning it around makes it stick out less since it looks like jet parts but still. Oddly though, the bottom of the jet is one of the cleanest jet undersides I’ve seen yet.
You can store the weapons a few ways in vehicle mode. You can put the individual cannons under the wings or you can put the combined cannons on top of the vehicle mode where the tailfin is. Then you put the tailfin back on the combined cannon. Like a hat.
Transformation
It’s a really simple transformation that’s barely any more complex than the Legends Thundercracker we looked at earlier. I do like more complex transformations sometimes but being able to switch between modes in seconds is fun too.
Robot mode

Thundercracker is much more stocky than he usually is in robot mode. Not that that’s a bad thing though. Buff is good even if he’s not as buff as he is in the game. He’s painted and molded very nicely for a Deluxe. His head in particular is nice and crisp with light piping that works very well.
Thundercraker poses very well. The aforementioned nice head can swivel 360° and look up. His arms rotate at the shoulders as well as go in and out. He has bicep swivels and double jointed elbows. His fists rotate. His legs rotate as well as go in and out at the hips. He has thigh swivels and knee bends. Lastly, Thundercracker has ankle pivots and his front toe can fold in.
Gimmicks
See those two massive cannons? The barrels rotate on both of them. But also the cannons can combine into what is basically a giant double barrelled tommy gun. When combined, spinning the gears on one gun spins the other. It’s a fun feature to have.
Toy or collectible?
Both. Thundercracker is simple and affordable enough to give to kids without issue. He’s also really cool looking and a ton of fun to play with.
As far as Generations figures go, Thundercracker is one of the better ones. He’s not the greatest but any adult collector would be glad to have this guy in their collection.
Closing
This is good mold and Thundercracker wears it well. With a few tweaks, this would have been an outstanding Transformer. As it is though, it’s just great.
But for most people (myself included) great is more than good enough. Give Thundercracker or any repaint of this mold a shot!
