Knockoff KO Transformers Animated Activators Megatron Review

Eat your greens.

Green is a nice colour, don’t you think? KO companies seem to think so.

I was wandering through a literal back alley when I found this guy. Why was I in a back alley in a riverside town? Well, I remembered a tiny candy shop being there when I was maybe 8 or 9. It had a KO Optimal Optimus. I went there to check if the shop was still in business (and if they still had Optimal Optimus). The shop was still standing more than 10 years later! Yay! But they didn’t have Optimal Optimus anymore. Aww.

They did have super low quality, shampoo bottle plastic KOs that I like though. These are the kind that come on a single big plastic card. A whole assortment of figures meant to be sold individually come on a single big plastic card. When you buy them, the shopkeep cuts off the section of packaging with your figure with a pair of scissors. Animated Megatron was the most interesting one of the assortment, so here he is.

Megatron’s what you’d expect from a figure that cost literally less than $1. Plastic is thin and brittle feeling. The auto-transform gimmick has been neutered. Also, he’s green. For RM3.80, I like him. He’s a nice size and retains most of his posability. Also, you can take of his backpack and have him sorta hold it like a shield with a cannon attached.

Shampoo bottle KOs are getting addictive man. They’re super cheap and fun in the weirdest way.
