Transformers Revenge Of The Fallen Legends Hightower Review

The left arm.

Little Hightower here was tied with Scavenger as my favourite of the Legends Constructicons when I first got all of them in 2009.

Let’s see if he still holds up!

Vehicle mode

Hightower is a truss crane. Paint and molded detail are surprisingly plentiful for a Legends figure. The only problem you might have in vehicle mode is the head “cage” is kinda visible from the back.

The hook and crane have slight posability. Hightower also has rolling wheels inside his treads.

Arm mode

It’s the crane mode but reversed and his face and arms are Devastator’s hands. Freaky-deaky.

Transformation

Yeah, you can tell what the transformation from vehicle mode to limb mode is. Moving on.

The transformation from vehicle mode to robot mode is dead simple but the results are truly unique and horrific.

Robot mode

Now this is it. Of the Legends Constructicons, Hightower and Scavenger are the only ones I want to get doubles of to have in individual robot mode. Sorry Scrapper.

Look at him. What is that?! Whoever came up with this robot design was either a genius or just completely mental. Whichever it was, I love Hightower. That said, I know a lot of people will hate Hightower. Different strokes for different folks.

For posability… Yeah, you’re out of luck here. Hightower can lift his cage and arms. He can move his tail. That’s all you’re getting here.

Toy or collectible?

Hightower is either both a toy and a collectible or neither of them. You really have to like that robot mode design from the get go whether your a kid or adult collector. Love it or hate it bro.

Of course, you need him to complete Legends Devastator so there’s that.

Closing

Honestly, I wanna get another Hightower just to display in robot mode. That’s how much I like the look of it. But once again, he’s a unique design that won’t please everyone.

But once again, if you want to complete Devastator you need him. So there’s that.
