Quick Look: Transformers Movie 2007 Deluxe Wreckage

Who?

Yeah, I barely remembered this guy too. Wreckage was supposed to be in the first movie but ended not appearing. But he got a toy made and appeared in the tie-in comics. It’s something at least.

I got him incomplete in a lot with a bunch of other Movie figures. Wreckage here is missing his leg covers and swords.

Robot mode

Wreckage looks good in robot mode. He’s suitably menacing looking for a Decepticon, but I think the red and white colours make him look friendlier than he should.

Wreckage has okay posability. He’s good for his time but fast forward to 2019 and he’s only okay. The fact that he’s missing swivels in his arms and legs really hurts him.

Even though he’s missing his swords, he’s still armed. There’s a translucent cannon that comes out of his chest during transformation. And his hands take 5mm weapons so you can arm him up as you see fit.

Vehicle mode

Wreckage still looks decent in vehicle mode even with the missing part. He’s an infantry carrier with a machine gun on top. Since he has snow camo, I’m assuming he’s fighting in Antarctica against polar bears and such.

All six of his wheels roll well, everything pegs together nicely and there’s not really and robot kibble anywhere. A solid vehicle mode.

Closing

Honestly speaking, you can live without having Wreckage or any version of this mold. He’s a long, long way from being bad but he’s not outstanding either. If you see him for cheap, he’s great for filling out your Decepticon ranks though.

I’m happy to have him, but I’m not fussed to get a complete Wreckage.
