Best of the nobodies?

Back in the first movie toyline, there were a bunch of toys released who weren’t in the movie at all. Landmine here is one of them.

He’s often considered the best out of the “nobody” characters from the Movie 2007 toyline. Let’s see if he deserves that title!

Robot mode

Landmine is looking sharp in robot mode. He doesn’t look too friendly for an Autobot though and that’s probably cause his face looks like a skeletal hockey mask. But that’s a recurring problem with Movie Autobots it seems. His colours are actually kinda plain, so the Allspark Blue actually does…

Bring some life to the figure.

The posability Landmine has is great. He’s literally only missing ankle tilts. Aside from that, he has everything! His wheel feet make him a little hard to balance, but it’s not as bad as ROTF Sideswipe.

Vehicle mode

Landmine has a great robot mode, no doubt. But his vehicle mode is even better. This thing is great!

There’s no kibble whatsoever in buggy mode. Not even on his underside! He has seats in his interior. And get this, his gimmick is rubber tires and working suspension. All of that worked into a Deluxe class figure. It’s amazing.

Closing

Yup, there’s no doubt he’s a great Transformer. Not a great Transformer for his time, a great Transformer even 12 years after his release. Hell, I think he’s better than some of the Studio Series figures I’ve handled.

That’s why even though the gun isn’t that important, I’m still gonna go through the trouble of getting a complete Deluxe Landmine. He’s an amazing figure and deserves to be complete.
