Talk about obscure.

You guys ever heard of the Mega SCF line before? No? Don’t sweat it.

They’re basically upgraded Action Masters from Japan. They were very cartoon accurate and very posable for the time. Also, they’re made of something that feels like soft vinyl. I’m not sure if they actually are soft vinyl though.

I got Micron Legend Megatron here in a lot of old Transformers. He’s missing his big cannon and his Minicon.

Robot mode

Micron Legend Megatron here is looking good in all his antler-headed glory. His sculpt and proportions are very close to what you got onscreen in Armada.

His posability is what you’d consider “good” these days, but back in the time of Armada/Micron Legends this level of posability was pretty much unheard of. He’s got pretty much everything except a thigh swivel and movement at his feet. But because his feet are so big, a lack of posability isn’t really a problem.

His tank turret can be left on his back or you can peg it to his crotch for FULL BLAST MODE. But I’m missing the bigger cannon, so it’s half blast mode I guess?

Closing

Megatron looks good and is much more posable than his original Leader. If you just want something show accurate, he’s pretty much as good as you get.

I think a line of Transformers that are cartoon accurate and highly posable is a good idea that should be revisited. They’d be great for lines with stylised cartoons like Animated, Prime and Cyberverse. They’d be a huge improvement over certain Cyberverse figures we’ve seen.
