Medium sized blue Starscream.
No, this isn’t Thundercracker.
It’s Dirge! Universe 2.0 Dirge to be exact. He was released in a two pack with Universe 2.0 Deluxe Roadbuster, who I do not have.
They came packaged with a free comic, which I also do not have.
Dirge himself is supposed to come with a missile launcher and a Cyber Planet Key.
Can you guess what comes next?
Yup! I don’t have em!
Robot mode

I adamantly believe this is one of the best Seeker designs ever. And Dirge’s colour scheme looks excellent on it.
In terms of posability, he’s only got two extra joints over the Legends sized take on this design. Those joints are the elbow joints. They bend 90° and lack a bicep swivel. So overall, his posability is okay but a bit lacking.
Dirge’s Cyber Planet Key feature is activated by plugging a key into his back. This deploys two swords on his arms at the same time. I hope you can tell I’m impressed.
Vehicle mode

As far as Cybertronian vehicle modes go, this is about the best you can get. Except for the exposed head. You can’t see the face, and could pass it off as an engine I guess.
But you are acutely aware. The head is there.
Dirge has little wheels on the bottom of the jet mode and surprisingly rolls well.
You can deploy his swords in jet mode but even I think it’s a bit dumb. Kudos for having the gimmick being accessible in both modes though!
Closing
I love this mold and the design in general. Legends, Voyager or Supreme size. You can’t go wrong with this design. These colours are actually very nice as well.
I’m not too fussed about getting the gun and Cyber Key for this guy. But. I do want a complete Starscream of this mold.
