Transformers War For Cybertron Legends Starscream Review

There was a Legends War For Cybertron Starscream?

Yes, there was! It was a promotional item for the War For Cybertron game and as a giveaway item in Hong Kong.
He’s a repaint of the Cybertron/Galaxy Force Legends Starscream.
Let’s get right into it!

Vehicle mode

He’s a Cybertronian jet. Unfortunately, not the correct Cybertronian jet mode.
Aside from being completely inaccurate, he’s still got a sweet jet mode. It’s nicely detailed and has deployable weapons! A sword and blaster!
The sword is a bit odd in this mode. He uses it for air jousting maybe?
The only missed step is the visible head at the back of the jet.
Oh, well. Still great.

Transformation

Quite complex for a Legends figure and remarkably close to his larger counterparts from the Cybertron/Galaxy Force series.

Robot mode

Wow.
He looks great. The new paint scheme suits the mold really well.
He’s well armed in this mode too. The flip down sword and blaster are now mounted on his arms.
And the sword makes sense now.
He’s a really posable little figure too. He’s literally only missing elbows and a waist. He’s got full shoulder posability, full hip posability, full knee posability and his head swivels.

Toy or collectible?

This guy leans more towards being an adult collectible. He’s a relatively rare repaint that catches pretty high prices nowadays. The mold itself is good for kids, so you can look for one of its cheaper repaints for the little ones.

Closing

I’m not even exaggerating when I say this guy is the pinnacle of Hasbro Legends scale Transformers.
He’s just that good.
20/10 stars!
All hail Lord Starscream!
